Falmouth is one of Jamaica's ports for Royal Caribbean & Carnival Cruise Lines. Upon arrival, I noticed there were activity and food options similar to other ports. I purchased earrings and other toiletries (hair comb, deodorant, toothbrush etc.) within the port, however, it's necessary to pay attention to prices, as some items are pricier than traditional American prices. Some shops display cost in American dollars-others do not. This is for any port! We did not purchase an excursion so my family and I explored outside the port in search of some tasty Jamaican food and souvenirs.
Upon exiting, we ran into several shops that sold clothing, shoes & trinkets for a fair price. We were approached by folks offering rides to Montego Bay for a small fee ($50), which we kindly turned down. After about forty minutes of walking & talking with folks from the area we ended up returning to the port and ordered some delicious jerk, rice-n-peas, bread with an orange cola. I LOVE A GOOD BEEF PATTY so you know I had to snag one of those too!! We browsed the rest of the Falmouth port, listened to a band play and checked out some of the locally made products.
